The Artistry Purview belongs to Gods renowned for their mastery of poetry, dance, storytelling,

and other forms of art, as well as those who fill the hearts and minds of mortal artists with

Inspiration.

When one takes the Artistry Purview, they must select one artform (such as: Music, Poetry, Dance, Theater, Cuisine, Drawing, Painting, Storytelling, Sculpture etc.)  The powers they select will only apply to their chosen art.

Artistry can be chosen twice for one’s purviews, if one wants it in two different categories, such as Artistry: Theater and Artistry: Cuisine. Each power they select must be taken separately. For instance, if you take Enthralling Performance: Theater, it only works for Theater. You have to take it again if you want to use it for Cuisine.

Innate Power:

You can express yourself through an artistic performance to communicate with

those who experience it as though you were speaking to them, even if they don’t share a

language. This can also bypass Complications that would apply to rolls made through ordinary conversations, like trying to avoid being overheard, but not to the specific art form you use. Only

the intended recipient of the message (which can be “everyone”) can perceive it.

Enthralling Performance

Duration: Indefinite

Subject: All characters

Roll: Charisma + Performance

Range: Medium

Action: Complex

No one can look away from your art. When you put on a performance, all affected targets in

range that witnesses your performance cannot stop paying attention to you. If they wish to take

another action, they must do it as a mixed action combined with a Wits + Stamina roll at

Difficulty 2.

You must actively be creating the art / putting on a show. Putting a finished art piece in front of someone does not work, but actively creating it (such as sculpting before your audience) does.

Heartfelt Expression

Duration: Indefinite

Subject: All characters

Roll: Manipulation + Performance/Skill

Range: Short

Action: Reflexive

Your emotions overflow into the souls of your audience. When you perform or create a work of

art, you can instill it with your current emotional state or the personal feelings that inspired it.

Any affected character that witnesses the performance or artwork is deeply affected, raising their attitude about you a little bit higher.

This attitude shift lasts until you do something to negate it (such as openly betraying or attacking them.)

However, once you use this ability, your painting, music, or other artwork won’t inspire any more characters with emotion beyond the intended and immediate audience.

Seeing the piece of art made with this Boon again doesn’t stack the attitude boosts. (IE you can only affect a person with a piece of art once.)

Muse’s Kiss

Duration: Indefinite

Subject: One character

Roll: Appearance + Empathy

Range: Short

Action: Simple

You breathe inspiration into a character’s heart, granting them additional successes equal to your roll’s successes when they roll to create art, put on a performance, or some other creative and expressive activity. You can set a single requirement the character must meet to maintain your blessing, like “tithe a tenth of your earnings to my cult” or “spend eight hours a day writing,” which ends this Boon immediately if it is not met. This Boon is free to use on trivial targets. If a requirement is not set, or if your god disapproves of it, the time limit for this blessing is one month. (submit RP and date to admins please.)

Bardic Inspiration

Dice Pool: Charisma + Performance By Singing, dancing, or other performance based art, the Scion may impact the actions of others equal to the successes on the activation roll. This can be something as simple as rallying your troops, calming a crowd, or disheartening the enemy forces. Characters of higher Level than the singer are not affected, however, artists can band together to affect those of higher level than themselves (Levels must be equivalent or higher), provided their arts are compatible. Those of equal Level get to oppose the roll with a Stamina + Wits roll. The player cannot activate this Boon if he is participating strenuously in some activity himself. He must devote each action, instead, to performing their chosen art. If interrupted, the performance stops and those performing must wait a full turn before trying again. If performing with a group, if more than half performing have been interrupted, the performance stops and they must wait a full turn to get back in sync and try again.

Lullabye

Dice Pool: Manipulation + Performance By singing, dancing, or other performance based art, the Scion makes a number of people equal to the successes on the activation roll drift quietly off to sleep. Characters of higher Level than the singer are not affected, however, artists can band together to affect those of higher level than themselves (Levels must be equivalent or higher), provided their arts are compatible. Those of equal Level get to oppose the roll with a Stamina + Wits roll. This soporific effect knocks out any living creature that can hear the Scion’s voice, for a number of hours equal to the Scion’s successes. Mortals remain asleep the whole time, never waking up regardless of what’s going on around them. Scion and Titanspawn can be woken up by those who went unaffected, if the player of the character trying to rouse the sleeper makes more successes on an extended (Manipulation + Performance) action to bring the sleeper around. (Such an action constitutes shaking the sleeping person, slapping his cheeks, pinching him, hollering at him or whatever else might wake him from a dead sleep.) Suffering a level of lethal or aggravated damage will also wake a sleeper with a Level rating.
